A man repeatedly injected himself with his own semen for a year and a half in order o cure back pain.
Doctors discovered the man’s bizarre home remedy after he turned up to a hospital with a swollen, abscessed arm in addition to his chronic back condition.
It was then the 33-year-old man disclosed that he had intravenously injected his own semen in an attempt to treat his back pain.
The man also revealed that he had injected himself once a month for 18 months using a needle he had bought online.
An x-ray of the arm showed subcutaneous emphysema and edema excess fluid and air under the skin. Doctors then began intravenous antimicrobial treatment.
The man invented the whole bizarre remedy treatment without any form of medical advice.
The patient’s back improved while he was in the hospital, he was discharged later.
This was the first reported case of semen injection for use as a medical treatment.
