2 injured in a shooting at Utah mall, suspects are still roaming free.

Two people were injured in a possible gang-related shooting that took place at a Utah mall earlier today.

Murray Police officer Kenny Bass says the incident is possibly gang-related and they are searching for three suspects.

Bass says the two people were shot at about 1:30 p.m. just outside the southeast entrance to the Fashion Place mall in Murray, which is about 6.6 miles south of the capital. He says the victims were a man and woman in their early 20s. The man is in critical condition and the woman in serious condition.

the mall was put under immediate evacuation, while visitors were evacuated out of the mall with their hands in the air.

Local law enforcement is currently attempting to track down the suspects who are still at large.

The mall is a highly visited shopping center in the heart of the Salt Lake City metro area that includes stores such as Crate and Barrel, Macy’s and Nordstrom.
