A police officer fatally shot and killed a security guard at bar in Chicago suburbs, Sunday morning, sources report.
Jemel Roberson, 26, was a church organist who was training to become a police officer. He was holding one of four drunk suspects that opened fire inside the bar, according to witnesses. Roberson then requested help from Midlothian Police, and once arrived, one from the responding officers mistakenly shot the guard, thinking he was one of the suspects.
One witness said: "I guess when the police got there, they probably thought he was one of the bad guys, cause he had his gun on the guy and they shot him". Pastor Patricia Hill of the Purposed Church claimed that " he was getting to train and do all that stuff, so the very people he wanted to be family with took his life".
