Tennessee officials arrested a mother who put her 8-month-old baby inside a stranger's freezer and closed it.
Brittany Smith, the 19-year-old mother, was under the influence when she took her baby son to Joshua Blair's yard where she found a unused freezer, put him inside then shut the lid.
Blair's mother spotted the woman in the yard and asked him to check. He found Smith hiding in a crawl space and shortly after, he found the infant inside the freezer which had about an inch of standing water inside.
The family took care of the baby, put clothes on him and fed him until police arrival. Smith's mother is now responsible of the baby, she says he is safe with her.
Smith has been charged with child abuse, neglect and burglary.
