Police under investigation after man filmed begging them for water dies hours later from severe beating injuries

Police officers are now under investigation after the death of a man who filmed himself asking them for water from severe beating injuries.

Jameek Lowery, 27-year-old father of three, activated Facebook live to capture his confrontation with police officers. Walking into the Paterson police headquarters, Lowery seemed terrified and suspicious, asking for water and foaming at the mouth, as he became increasingly stressed and asked police not to shoot. The four minute video shows Lowery sweating, desperately asking for water, the officers are then heard replying: "We're not allowed to" and suggesting to take him by an ambulance to a nearby hospital where he can find something to drink, to which Lowery agrees.

But hours later, he died of severe assault-related injuries.
