A man charged after he allegedly attacked a bus driver with a knife at Blacktown.

Emergency services were called at Blacktown Station where they found a bus driver in their thirties with a cut in the ear. An 18-year-old passenger was reported to have attacked the bus driver with a knife before fleeing on foot.

The driver was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Officers from the Blacktown Police District Command were present, the crime scene was established and an investigation was conducted.

Shortly after, the 18-year-old Whalan man reported to Blaktown Hospital. He was arrested and taken to the Blacktown Police Station, where he was charged with malignant brain damage.

The surety was refused to appear in the local Parramatta court tomorrow, Sunday, January 13, 2019.
