A man allegedly caught in possession of a prohibited drug and jumped a fence to escape from officers at a music festival

A man who was caught with illicit drugs and allegedly jumped a fence to escape the police at a music festival in Parramatta yesterday was one of 36 people arrested during the operation.

the 19-year-old man was arrested at the entrance and searched by the police for a white substance.

During a subsequent search, the man fled the agents, jumping a fence of two meters.

He was soon found in the Parramatta River and arrested.

The man was taken from St Mary to the Parramatta police station and accused of escaping police custody and possession.

Today, his release on bail was denied by the Parramatta Court, and his release on bail was officially denied on Thursday, January 17. 2019 in Parramatta County Court.

During the high visibility police operation, two people were charged with supplying drugs, including a 23-year-old Hunter Valley man.

Police arrested Grita's man during the incident and, after investigation, a search warrant was executed in the Australia Street unit in Humbush.

During the search, the police found 200 capsules that may contain MDMA, three sachets of white powder and eight tablets.

The man was charged with three counts of supplying illegal drugs (between indictment and commercial quantity) and was granted parole to appear in the Parramatta District Court on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

In another case, an 18-year-old woman was charged with administering a (small) drug after finding 11 capsules.
