Turkish media reported that two people were injured after a train collided with a construction vehicle in the suburbs of Istanbul.

The incident took place on Saturday for a test run on the road near Istanbul International Airport, reported the official Anatolia news agency. The train collided with a vehicle extending the power line. The pictures of the scene in front of a car showed that the electricity was destroyed.

Two people stranded on the train were saved, the agency said. There was no information on their circumstances.

In December, a high-speed train collided with a locomotive and crashed Thursday in a pedestrian walkway of a station in the Turkish capital, Ankara, killing nine people and injuring dozens.
