An Oklahoma Muslim woman claimed that she was slapped and told to "go back to her country a week ago."
Jenan Ayesh was allegedly assaulted on Saturday.29 by an attacker who pulled her hijab and slapped her twice before running out. According to the victim, the incident occurred when she and her family were waiting for a ride home after visiting the Reunion Tower in Dallas, a woman who wanted to use a door that the family was standing in front of became angry, telling her to "go back to your country" and asking her why she wore a hijab. Ayesh was later diagnosed with a concussion.
Police officials are still investigating the incident that was described as a hate crime, no suspect was arrested in the case.
