Gunman shot dead by police after he killed three people.

Houston police officers shot and killed the man who killed three people in a deadly shooting incident.

police responded to a shooting call which occurred at a home in the 200 block of West 44th Street around 4:25 p.m.

according to Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, the suspect shot his 23-year-old friend who was dropping him at his sister's house, the 32-year-old man entered some hysteric status and started targetting people randomly shooting a 30-year-old man several times in the legs and shot another man in the front yard of his sister's home.

his sister tried to grab the gun out of his hand but in vain, The man walked down the street with the gun and randomly shot at a pickup truck passing by, Acevedo said. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

the man was shot by responding police after they failed to make him drop his weapon, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

the victims were taken to a nearby hospital where one of them underwent a surgery, their condition was not immediately clear.

After investigators reviewed the bodycam footage of the officer who shot the suspect, Acevedo said the officer had kept his composure and had done an amazing job.

witnesses said that the suspect was maybe intoxicated during the incident.

the suspect's father argued that police did not have to shot his son indicating that the latter was suffering from mental issues.
