A 7-years-old boy was killed and placed inside concrete in a Denver storage unit.his mother was charged with the murder.
Elisha A. Pankey, 43, was charged in connection to the death of her 7-year-old son Caden McWilliams. The boy's body was found in a storage unit on the 5000 block of E. Evans Avenue in Denver on Dec. 23. Pankey turned herself into the Denver Police Department on Wednesday.
Court records show Pankey was arrested for possession of heroin on Dec. 22, the day before the body was found.
the boy's father Leland Pankey, 39, has been charged with second-degree assault following a Nov. 27, 2017 incident in which he is accused of assaulting his wife of 3.5 years, according to a Denver Police Department arrest affidavit.
Bond for Pankey was set at $250,000. Her next court appearance was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 9.
