5years ago

An ex-convict has been charged with shooting dead a father who was camping with his daughters and attempting to kill the girls in Malibu Creek State Park.

According to prosecutors, Anthony Rauda 42, was involved in a series of shooting over two years that left eight victims dead. He shot and targeted campers and drivers that stirred anxiety and fear near a popular state park outside Los Angeles.

On June 18, Rauda shot Tristan Baudette in the head as the 35-year-old father camped in a tent with his 2 and 4-year-old-daughters in Malibu Creek Park. The girls were not wounded in the incident.

The suspect was arrested in October for violating probation and illegally having a gun and ammunition.
