Man charged after another man stabbed outside Wollongong Hospital

A man was charged after another man was stabbed in front of Wollongong Hospital yesterday.

Monday, January 7, 2019, before 9:30, a 40-year-old man was sitting in a bus station in front of the hospital on Crown Street.

According to the police, when the driver of the Holden Commodore White sedan, the 45-year-old man screamed out the window before entering the hospital parking lot and getting out of the car.

He allegedly fled to the young man and stabbed him once in the back before escaping from the scene in Holden.

The injured man was briefly admitted to the hospital, but he left before being treated. The two men would have known each other.

The officers were briefed by the Wollongong Police District and opened the investigation.

On Monday, January 7, 2019, around 1:30 pm, investigators published a headline in Wonona and arrested the 45-year-old man.

He was transferred to the Wollongong Police Station and charged with involvement.

The bill was rejected and appeared in the Wollongong District Court on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

He will then appear in Wollongong District Court on February 26, 2019.
