On Saturday, January 5, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., two men went to a Hicks Place house and spoke to a 39-year-old man. The three men were involved in a fight and one of the visitors pulled out a pistol and shot the resident's left hand and left thigh.
Emergency services were contacted and the search for the two men was initiated by officers attached to the Murray River Police District.
The resident was taken to Al-Buri hospital for surgery, and according to officials, he is in a serious but stable condition.
The two men left the house with a gray car, driven by a third man. The car was then spotted at a house on Prune Street at Lavington. The police then went to the neighborhood. The man was arrested and taken to the Albury police station.
