Police were investigating the death of a man in an accident near Young this morning.
On Saturday, January 5, 2019, before 7 am, the emergency services were called on the Wirrimah Scenic Highway, located about 30 km north of Young, and discovered that an unregistered Toyota Corolla vehicle had left the road. The vehicle had followed the traffic signs and then stopped against a tree.
The only one who was in the truck, the driver, who would be 30 years old, died on the scene.
Investigators from the Hume Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
A medico-legal report will be prepared.
