Thousand Oaks mass shooting: authorities have revealed more details about the shooter

The gunman who killed 12 at a crowded bar in Thousand Oaks, Calif. was identified as

Ian David Long a former Marine combat veteran who was deployed to Afghanistan from Nov. 16, 2010, to June 14, 2011.

Wednesday around 11:20 p.m Long entered the Borderline Bar & Grill which is known to be popular among college students for his country music events, the bar was already filled with student and their friends ; the shooter killed the security guard at the door with the use of smoke bombs he aimed his gun at people randomly and killed 12 people including a police sergeant; while at least 23 people get injured while trying to escape the attack.

police later found Long dead with a gunshot wound inside the bar they believe he had shot himself.

Dominique Colell Long's high school track coach admitted that her student who was back then a senior high schooler assaulted her but she has decided not to tell authorities about the incident.

during the incident Long have posted on his social media accounts questioning people's opinions about the matter of his sanity.

officers are still looking into the case and suggesting that Long might have entered the bar in search for his ex-girlfriend.

in the other hand president, Trump blamed the whole shooting incident on mental illness calling the attacker a very sick puppy with a lot of problems.

authorities are still collecting the puzzle pieces of the case while the motive for the attack is still a mystery.
