Essex Police have confirmed the body of the man who went missing two days before Christmas from a fishing lake.
police discovered the body of 28-year-old Jack Morrad at 11.30am on January 3, 12 days after his disappearance.
Essex Police said night fishermen had reported hearing a man in the area of the lake in Gloucester Park at around 2 am on December 23.
An operation to drain millions of gallons of water from the lake began on Wednesday.
Mr. Morrad, from Essex, vanished at about 2 am on December 23 after a night out with friends following a West Ham football match.
The body is yet to be formally identified but officers have suspended the search for Mr. Morrad.
A fundraising campaign to pay for a missing person appeal has raised £5,950.
