Thief who robbed several celebrity homes including Usher and Jason Derulo was arrested.

A man was arrested and accused of burglarizing Hollywood Hills homes, some of which owned by celebrities on Wednesday, the man was able to carry on his theft activities by posing as a buyer or a broker during open houses in 2017 and 2018.

Benjamin Eitan Ackerman, 32, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of a rash of thefts all over the Hollywood Hills area, where celebrities such as Usher, Jason Derulo, and Adam Lambert were targeted.

police have recovered items worth 'millions' including fine wine, jewelry, rare artwork, and designer clothing.

Ackerman allegedly pretended to be a buyer or a broker during open houses and tampered with surveillance video cameras, sometimes ripping them out. At other times, the surveillance footage would simply go black, police said.

Ackerman was arrested on Sept. 20, 2018, and released on $1 million bail four days later.

Authorities urged anyone who may have been a victim to contact the LAPD.
