A Florida man is blaming himself for a fatal home invasion he triggered when he posted a picture of his gun collection on social media, luring three “extremely violent criminals” to his residence.

The unidentified homeowner told investigators that he was home alone playing video games on Friday night when he heard glass being shattered and saw three masked men. He grabbed a gun and discharged it at Luis Casado and Khyle Durham, both 21, killing them. He also shot Jeremiah Trammel, 19, but the teen managed to flee the scene.

“The victim, in this case, was exercising his Second Amendment right to protect himself in his home,” Sheriff Chris Nocco said.

Trammel was arrested by a neighbor near the home and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. He was charged with murder and invasion robbery.
