‘Braille search’ continues for actress Naya Rivera: Cadaver dogs sniffing water; sonar revealing anomalies

Piru Lake news, California news.

California authorities are deploying all possible means in their search for “Glee” star Naya Rivera who jumped to the Piru Creek waters on Wednesday and never show up again.

No signs of the 33-year-old actress have been found since she disappeared while swimming with her four-year-old son. Capt. Eric Buschow insisted the search for Rivera is complicated by the murky waters that are 135 ft. deep and filled with shrubbery, sticks, flooded debris, and plants: “It’s kind of a braille search,” a specialist diver said. “At 11 a.m., I could only see a foot in front of me.”

Search teams are using cadaver dogs to sniff the surface for foul decomposition odors, and a sonar to spot anomalies in deeper zones, but so far, to no avail.
