Minneapolis news, Minnesota news.

The city of Minneapolis is living under tensions as crowds of protesters gather every day since the gut-wrenching death of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer.

A man was shot dead outside a pawn shop by the business owner on Wednesday night and the police said that a suspect is in custody. The preliminary investigation shows that the victim was looter trying to break into the jewelry store.

“That is one of the theories that we’re working into,” police spokesman John Elder said. “As I said, the body was found outside. And we have a couple of different scenarios as to what may have happened.”

Across the states, several demonstrations have taken place, in majority peacefully, over the death of the black man knelt on by a white police officer as he pled for his life.
