US news, US news.

For the first time, President Trump weighed on America surpassing 100,000 deaths from COVID-19, describing it as a "sad milestone" in a tweet he posted this morning on his official account.

On why the President didn't comment about the milestone earlier, deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere said that President Trump’s prayers for comfort and strength are with all of those grieving the loss of a loved one or friend.

Another WH official said that the President has already talked about the grave loss of life many times before and added that the President referenced the losses Americans have suffered during his Memorial Day remarks.

Today, the US has just reached a sorrowful milestone with the pandemic deaths reaching 100,000. Trump tweeted: "To all of the families & friends of those who have passed, I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy & love for everything that these great people stood for & represent. God be with you!"
