Disturbing footage had surfaced on Thursday morning showing a nursing home resident brutally beating a fellow elderly resident causing him to bleed.
The 75-year-old hopelessly tries to shield himself from the assailant, 20, who continued punching the victim before dragging him off the bed. The incident had reportedly taken place at the Westwood Nursing Center in Detroit.
President Trump reacted to the chilling video in a tweet: “Is this even possible to believe? Can this be for real? Where is this nursing home, how is the victim doing?”
Detroit Police announced that the abuser has been arrested: “Thank you to everyone for your assistance in bringing the senior home incident to our attention. Police are investigating the situation and an arrest has been made.”
