A Texas infant is left brain dead after he was shot in the chest by his mother’s boyfriend on Saturday.
Lance Tello Jr., 19, was charged with injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he opened fire at 1-month-old Armani Cazares before shooting his 49-year-old own mother and 14-year-old sister.
According to the child’s mom, 18-year-old Daisy Delacruz, Tello asked her to pick him up from work and was upset when they arrived home. She said that she asked him to feed the baby which he refused, saying that he didn’t want to hold her child anymore. He then looked at himself in the mirror before retrieving the gun and shooting the victims.
Armani’s mom said that doctors are awaiting her permission to take him off a ventilator, and he is declared “brain dead.”
