Houston police are investigating a drive-by shooting incident that cost the life of a 5-year-old boy who was making TikTok videos with his father on the balcony as they were stuck at home because of social distancing instructions.
The incident took place at the family second-floor balcony on March 31, shortly after 9 p.m. Jordan Allen Jr. and his father, Jordan Allen Sr. were playing together. But when the boy’s dad left to bring some juice, over than six bullets rang out and one of them grazed him in the head: “I ran to the porch, and then I see my son on the ground holding his head asking for help,” Jordan Allen Sr. told reporters.
The toddler was rushed to a local hospital where he died Friday after being taken off life support. Officials believe he was not the intended target.
