US news.

Since the coronavirus outbreak had first begun, Saturday’s death toll was the highest ever reported: More than 1,300 COVID-19 related fatalities across the country were recorded on a single day.

Citing data compiled by the Johns Hopkins University, the new milestone rose the American death toll over 8,500 and the number of confirmed cases across the states to 312,000.

These new updates led the US Surgeon General Jerome Adams on Sunday to warn Americans of what may be “the hardest and the saddest” week. President Trump confirmed Adams’ statements: “This will probably be the toughest week, between this week and next week,” Trump said. “There will be a lot of death, unfortunately.”
