Early in the morning of Thanksgiving, an accident involving three vehicles in North Richland Hills left a 17-year-old boy and his dog dead.
Naomi Martinez was identified as the driver who allegedly hit the other three cars, North Richland Hills police said.
At approximately 5:15 am, Martinez was driving a black Tahoe Chevrolet, entered an off-ramp near Holiday Lane and entered the traffic in the opposite direction, police said. The Tahoe hit two other SUVs and a sedan. The driver of the sedan was identified as Benjamin Castaneda, 17, who was transported to a hospital in the area where he died later.
A GoFundMe page describes Castaneda as "an amazing young man full of life and joy".
Martinez is charged with manslaughter, a second degree crime.
