Mother, boyfriend arrested after 2-month-old dies from meth exposure

A Colorado couple has been arrested after the death of a 2-month-old boy who was exposed to methamphetamine, authorities said.

On Thursday, Lakewood Police announced the arrests of 31-year-old Lisa Marie Johnson and her 33-year-old boyfriend Alexander Avila.

Both Johnson and Avila face charges of first-degree murder in connection to the infant’s death.

    Upon arrival, the officers found out that the baby was already deceased.

    “The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office determined that 2-month-old Ezra Johnson died due to methamphetamine toxicity,” law enforcement said.
