Queens man busted in Florida over fatal stabbing of older brother 4 months ago

A Queens man accused of fatally stabbing his older brother last summer was located in Florida and arrested on murder charges.

31-year-old Henry Gutierrez had allegedly been hiding out of state for four months after he repeatedly knifed his 52-year-old brother Oscar Gutierrez inside their Jamaica Avenue Boulevard on July 17.

  • Police said that the victim was stabbed twelve times in the shoulder, neck, chest, abdomen, groin, and back; he died shortly after being rushed to Jamaica Hospital.

    The two brothers shared the apartment where the crime occurred following a heated argument, police said.

    Henry Gutierrez is believed to have fled to the Sunshine State soon after the killing. He was extradited back to New York on Friday.
