Anchorage news, Alaska news.

Sarah Palin was one of four candidates to clinch a place for November’s general election and compete for Alaska’s House seat along with Republican Nick Begich III, and Democrat Mary Peltola.

The 58-year-old former Alaska governor and ex-vice presidential candidate marked a strong comeback this year after a long hiatus, showing up at Trump-backed fundraisers and rallies.

Palin is indeed the most familiar figure among Alaskan candidates even though many voters in her home state blame her for abandoning politics to launch a reality TV career.

“Palin is probably the most attractive, charismatic candidate out there. But when she’s asked any specific questions, all I hear from her are soundbites. So it just surprises me that she’s got the popularity.”
