A Texas mom, and two-year veteran officer, was arrested on felony charges after she used the Taser on her three children last month.
Xochitl Ortiz, 34, a deputy constable in Harris County was charged with three counts of bodily injury to a child under 15.
The mother is accused of “drive-stunning” the kids, aged 8, 11, and 12, in April reportedly shocking the three children’s hands, shoulders, and buttocks with the police-issued Taser that belonged to her boyfriend and colleague Christopher Worthington.
Prosecutors said that Worthington was present at the time of the abuse, according to the victims’ statements.
Ortiz and the children’s father are reportedly going through a divorce.
