Holmes County news, Mississippi news.

A trade meeting with an ATV quad bike seller claimed the life of a Mississippi man last week.

26-year-old Kyle Craig, of Ocean Springs, had purchased the bike on Facebook Marketplace. He met with its seller on June 2 in Holmes County where he was shot to death, police said.

His relatives reported him missing after they failed to contact him, Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said in a statement.

According to sources, the suspect is a teenage boy who shot Craig several times and stole his money with the help of Montavious Landfair who is still on the run.

The victim is survived by his wife, Shelbie, and their 1-year-old son, Brantley.

A GoFundMe page has been created earlier this week to support his loved ones:

“I’m asking for this community to come together and give back to the awesome and hard-working man who was taken from this earth way too soon,” the page’s organizer expressed.
