San Bernardino Police arrested the main suspect in a double-murder incident that terrorized the Rancho Cucamonga community last month.

19-year-old Jacob Wright was arrested during a traffic stop in connection with the stabbing deaths of Jia Jia, 44, and her 8-year-old daughter Ruby Meng inside their home.

A third female victim sustained stab wounds and remained hospitalized since March 7, the day the events occurred.

"Can you imagine a safer place for an 8-year-old to be cuddled up next to her mother? only to be woken up by her mother's screams and to be stabbed by an intruder."

Authorities were able to identify Wright through surveillance footage that caught him wandering around the victims’ home.

They said that Wright broke into the residence while the women slept, and started his stabbing spree. Detectives believe the atrocious acts were committed amid a burglary.
