As all sights were on Joe Biden and his live family members celebrating his historic win, a lone man dressed in uniform knelt on Biden’s late son Beau’s grave in Delaware.
The man was not identified but appeared to be mourning, kneeling down on his knee, his head bowed for a while before Beau’s tomb.
“Poignant moment,” the photographer described the caption. “While Joe Biden gave his inauguration speech, a lone man in uniform knelt at the Delaware grave of his son Beau.”
On Tuesday, Biden shed tears during his pre-inauguration address when he recalled his beloved son Beau who passed away of brain cancer in 2015.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” President Biden told the audience. “I only have one regret. He’s not here, because we should be introducing him as president.”
