Police seeking public’s help to identify teen whose remains were found in LI backyard last year

3years ago

Long Island news, New York news.

On Wednesday, Suffolk County detectives released photos of the clothing and a composite sketch of a teen after they spent the last year trying to identify him, unsuccessfully.

The case came to Police’s scrutiny when someone discovered human remains behind a Jay Road, Centereach home on March 15.

When police arrived, they noticed that the victim may have been killed around a year before he was discovered given the advanced state of decomposition.

A thorough investigation followed but the sole revelations were that the victim was a male between 15 and 21 years old, 5-foot-3/5 inches, and was a victim of violence.
