Man still at large after Decatur shooting death of a man inside his car

Authorities said that the search of a man wanted in a capital murder investigation related to Decatur shooting continues.

After Morgan County 911 received a call of a fatal shooting in the area of Parkway Place Apartments in Decatur at about 1 p.m, officers with the Decatur Police Department dispatched in the area of Central Parkway, Central Parkway and Beltine Road SW looking for a man who fled away behind the wheel of a car.

Police found Anthony Lewis sitting in the driver's seat injured after a gunshot to the leg. He was pronounced dead Saturday morning after being transferred to undergo an emergency surgery at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

The suspect was identified as Lashawn Kentrell Caudle. He is reportedly armed and dangerous. It is better not to approach to him if seen.
