Reports said that the Texas man accused of causing a deadly car accident that took the life of a young mom allegedly had 12 drinks before getting into his truck and driving off.

The Houston Chronicles reported that Taylor Phillips, 23, was killed Sunday night after Eric Hernandez, 19, allegedly crashed into her SUV.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that a video from inside a bar showed the suspect consuming 12 drinks, including three tequila shots during six hours before driving.

The victim, her mother and 1-year-old son were driving home after a weekend of visiting family in New Orleans. Her mother said that the drunk driver came out of nowhere, they didn't see him until he was right up on them.

Hernandez has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
