A 19-year-old male has been found dead inside a SUV in the Lane-Wooster neighborhood in the second fatal shooting in Akron since Friday.
The teen was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in the passenger seat of a gray Chevrolet Equinox Sunday at 11:30 a.m. His identity or a possible motive were not immediately released as an autopsy is set to be conducted by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
On Friday, another shooting occurred and left 45-year-old Damond Duke fatally wounded near his home on the 800 block of Brown Street in South Akron, with his truck, a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche, stolen. Police found the truck abandoned about a mile away. No arrests have been made in both cases.
