A 24-year-old Australian alt-model who is obsessed with ‘body tattoos’ and had received hundreds of tattoos since the age of 16 became temporarily blind after tattooing her eyeballs.
During a recent interview, Amber Luke, said that she spent over $25,000 to modify her body which made her accept herself. But in 2019, she was left blind for several weeks after tattooing the whites of her eyeballs blue in a procedure that she described as “brutal”: “I can’t even begin to describe to you what the feeling was like, the best thing I can give you is once the eyeball was penetrated with the ink, it felt like the tattoo artist grabbed shards of glass and rubbed it in my eye.”
Luke has suffered mental issues such as depression and personality disorder. She even tried to take her own life 15 times.
