15-month-old vanishes in December, reported missing this week

A 15-month-old Tennessee girl was reported missing Tuesday after she disappeared for more than seven weeks earlier, according to Sullivan County officials.

Relatives of Evelyn Mae Boswell said that they last saw her alive on December 26. She was wearing a pink bow and a pink tracksuit, pink shoes. On Tuesday, they reported her missing after they grew worried about her safety, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed.

The toddler’s disappearance is currently investigated by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the FBI.

It remains unclear why the girl’s parents have not notified police when she vanished. At this time, her mother is considered a person of interest in the case. Her dad, Ethan Perry, is on active duty in the U.S. military.
