In Lawndale on the West Side, on Friday police responded to an accidental shooting of an 11-year-old boy.
He was shot in the neck by his 7-year-old sister at their home on West Fillmore Street, he was in serious condition and taken to Stroger hospital .
Whether any adults were in the house at the time also was not clear.
According to police, the shooting happened by accident but it's unkown from where the 7-year-old girl brought the handgun, as both parents were called for investigations and would probably be facing charges of child endangerment.
