Virginia coal mine trapped people were finally rescued after long 5 days of searching.

Three people missing in an inactive Raleigh County coal mine since late Saturday were found alive on Wednesday night, the three of them reportedly went there to get cooper.

Kayla Williams, 25, of Artie; Erica Treadway, 31, of Pax; and Cody Beverly, 21, of Dorothy were brought to the surface and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

For five days, the three adventurers went deep inside the abandoned mine with water and snacks, their sources of nurture eventually ended leaving them starving and drinking from a stream in the mine while crossing their fingers as the water could be contaminated.

Rescue teams failed to find the missing three earlier this week, but they removed standing water from the mine and pumped in fresh air. By Wednesday, more access space had been cleared, allowing additional rescuers to enter.

Eddie Williams, 43, a fourth member of the team managed to find his way to the entrance of the mine.

The underground mine was sealed to prevent such trespassing incident.
