South Bend news, Indiana news.

A missing Notre Dame senior has been found dead two days after she was last seen alive, police said.

21-year-old Annrose Jerry had vanished on Tuesday at around 8:45 p.m. at Coleman-Morse Center, less than a third of a mile from where her lifeless body was discovered in Saint Mary’s Lake.

Police made the discovery at 11:15 a.m. Friday after an extensive search of the area. The county coroner said that the preliminary investigation revealed that she had no apparent signs of trauma.

“We’re deeply saddened by the passing of Annrose,” Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins said. “We will keep her and her family and friends in our prayers.”

The investigation continues to determine the student's cause of death.
