The body of a North Carolina mother of two small children has been found dead outside an abandoned home on Thursday afternoon.
Police are searching for clues in the suspicious death of 25-year-old Shana Nicole Harmon who was discovered dead outside the deserted home used by fugitives hiding from authorities. Foul play is suspected.
"We believe people in the community have information about the senseless death of Ms. Harmon," police said in a news release. "We need the community's assistance."
The victim's family described her as someone who "had her demons but loved her children." Harmon's parents are left without answers: "She deserves justice. The family deserves to know what happened. We don't know anything. We just want answers," her mother's said.
