A Florida teen has been jailed after police said she has stabbed her hospitalized boyfriend with a pair of surgical scissors.
Taniea D. Sherrod, 18-year-old, was charged with aggravated battery with a weapon and is expected to contest the felony charge after the Nov. 19 incident that Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg.
The unidentified victim was on his hospital bed for an undetermined reason with the suspect at his side when an argument started leading Sherrod to "pick up a pair of surgical scissors in the hospital room and begun stabbing her boyfriend in the right thigh causing multiple puncture wounds," the arrest report said.
Sherrod is being held at the Pinellas County jail on a $15,000 bail. She has entered a written not guilty plea.
