Oklahoma's Kyler Murray wins Heisman Trophy

Kyler Murray won college football's most prestigious individual award, the Heisman trophy, Saturday night beating out Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa.

"This is crazy, this is an honor" Murray said in his acceptance speech, "Something that I'll never forget. Something that I will always cherish for the rest of my life."

Murray ended up with a fairly comfortable margin of 296 point over Tagovailoa, reaching the first-place by 517 votes and 2,167 points. The other finalists was Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins was a distant third with 783 point.

Murray surpassed last year's Heisman winner, Baker Mayfield, having averaged 380 yards of offense per game. He accounted for 51 touchdowns in leading the Sooners the Big 12 title and the playoff.
