A Massachusetts father was arrested after his 5-year-old son brought a bag of heroin to the kindergarten.

Benny Garcia, 29, pleaded not guilty to drug possession and careless endangerment of a child.

The boy showed a plastic bag carrying the image of Spider-Man containing a powdery substance, told the Attorney General of Hampden County Attorney General Matthew Green at the Daily Hampshire Gazette. The boy told his teacher he was turning into a superhero when he tasted the powder.

Police officers from Holyoke were called to school around 11 am Thursday. The boy was taken to a local hospital and later released. The police contacted the boy's mother, who allowed him to search his apartment. There, they found Garcia sleeping on a bed with other bags of white powder under him.

The police found more than 200 bags of heroin and cocaine.

The boy and another baby in the family were placed in state custody.

Garcia will be held without bail until his hearing scheduled for November 20.
