Home invasion led to deputies finding gunshot victim, police said.

A home invasion led MPs to find a victim by gunfire, Greenville County MPs said.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for a break-in at 13:59. Saturday near Long Pond Court, said Assistant Master Jason Cox.

Cox said that when the deputies arrived, they found a victim with at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the hospital, according to Cox.

Cox said the criminal investigation department had been called.
