Two dozen suspected drug and gun dealers in South Bay have been arrested, authorities said.

Officials seized 130 firearms, 39 pounds of methamphetamine and 20 pounds of marijuana in a giant bust coordinated by the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, announced agencies on Fridays.

Ray Roundtree, spokesperson for the ATF division in San Francisco, said the operation had been underway for years.

15 of those arrested are facing federal charges for distributing drugs and selling or possessing firearms.

The suspects are mostly in their twenties or early thirties. They are from the south of San Francisco, San Mateo, Modesto, Redwood City, East Palo Alto and elsewhere.
