A Florida Walmart employee has been fatally shot as he went outside the store for a break, according to police.
The incident occurred on Friday in Pinellas Park near the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The victim, who has not been identified, is believed to be a man in his early 20s.
According to witnesses, two armed men got out of a white vehicle, targeted the victim and fled the scene after shooting him.
The store released a statement saying that they are cooperating with police in the investigation. Walmart remained open on Friday afternoon following the shooting but a back section of the parking lot was cordoned off as officers investigated the scene right behind the store.
